The Audiovault Project

The Audiovault ProjectIt’s been a few weeks in the making, but we are now proud to unveil our next series of gigs!

The Audiovault Project is a new monthly jam starting on 18th November at the Hat Factory, a state-of-the-art media and arts centre in Luton.

We’ve got two rooms and a fairly late licence to play around with so we’re going to rotate the policy from month to month to see what works best.

The debut night on the 18th will see all the Blunt Beats residents team up with some special guests as follows: Continue reading…

Blunt Beats Radio live!

Some quick radio news - Next week Blunt Beats Radio will be going out over the webwaves as normal, but will be broadcast live from The Hat Factory in central Luton town.

Podcast - Big Mikey Dread Radio

bmd_radio.gifThe chilly autumn nights are drawing in and the leaves are falling. What better to cheer you up than top audio from the sun-soaked island of Jamaica?

For this week’s tip-off we’ve happened across over 20 podcast versions of Big Mikey Dread’s Radio Show tucked away, playing Jamaican Music from the 1950s to the Present day. Mento, Ska, Rocksteady, Reggae, Dub, Dancehall, Modern Roots and a whole heap more.

BMD sums it all up like this: “Live chat, sillyness and Jamaican music, what more could a man want… apart from a glass of Wray and Nephew’s Overproof Rum perhaps?”

More stuff worth watching

Well, Autumn is here, no doubt: the evenings are dark, Eastenders is crap, and there’s nothing worth shouting about for any of our teams in the Champions League (be a few years before Luton Town get there….M) so, we thought we’d continue our selection of visual tidbits to keep you amused during the cold and dark nights. Close the curtains, roll a fat one, and enjoy! :) Continue reading…
