Kieran Hebden and Steve Reid at Koko
This has to be one of the most exciting musical events that I have been to. The night was kicked of by the first set of James Holden, playing some great sounds of electronical madness. His second set really started getting the crowd moving rhythmically with the electronic bleeps & far out drone sounds. Big ups to Mr Holden for 2 fine dj sets.
The support act wasn’t all that so I’ll swiftly move on to the main act – Kieran Hebden & Steve Reid. What can I say? I was breathless for 2hrs of mad free jazz drumming mixed with Mr Hebden’s wild mix of electronical madness whipping the crowd up into a electrojazzology frenzy.
This has to be one of the greatest musical performances I have ever seen, and I’ve seen many. It is definitely the first gig in a long time were I’ve walked out of a venue afterwards totally buzzin’ from the performance and in awe of the music. Thank you very much Mr Reid & Mr Hebden for a fantastic night of great music.
