The title of this post perfectly describes next weeks live Allsorts radio show. All manner of beats, hooks and breaks, blended together by Blunt Residents Marcus Hurley, Doug, and J. Seriously, you can expect all kinds of stuff. This one does exactly what it says on the tin.

Last nights Smoking Behind The Bike Sheds live radio show from Blunt HQ was certainly entertaining! – All sorts of music from across the years and genres, reflecting our respectful youthful memories. DJs at the controls for this trip down memory lane were Blunt residents Marcus Hurley and Agent M, joined by Special Guest Oli Twizzle.
Big thanks go out this week to our special guest DJ Oli (Mr. Twizzle) for a superb mish-mash of quality beats, just for us. A very special thank you also goes to J for taking care of some technical issues of G Hurley’s, and effectively allowing the show to go ahead by the skin of it’s teeth. Ras Pizzler saves the day once more.

It’s that time once more when we use our live radio show to delve back into our musical pasts. Cringeworthy in some places. Classic in others.
What I’m going on about is the fact that tomorrows radio show sees the return of “Smoking Behind The Bike Sheds“.
For those of you who aren’t in the know, this is where the Blunt residents, and our guests, take you on a long and winding journey through the tunes of our youth. Stuff we loved. Stuff we hated. Stuff that we just remember from that time. Stuff we went out and got ourselves. Stuff we were given. Stuff we were forced to listen to. Stuff we weren’t allowed to listen to. Whatever. It’s all there.
On this show, Marcus Hurley and Agent M will be joined by special guest (good to have you back at HQ amigo) Oli (of Oli Twizzle fame), who will be joining the gang in selecting personal, indulgent tunes, from a simpler time. Jumpers for goalposts, anyone?

Myself and J have been busy here at Blunt HQ, trawling though our radio archives. We’re gonna be uploading some selected sessions over the coming weeks, so that you people in webland can have even more top quality music from Blunt HQ at your disposal.
This time round, we’ve pulled out a mix from the launch night of our “Groundbeat” (jazz influenced) sessions. it’s guest DJ Adam Williams at the controls, working through a diverse selection of mellowed-out beats, exclusively for blunt beats.
Well, seeing as everyone else has pulled their finger out and uploaded some music of late, I figured I’d better do the same.
What I’ve given you is a recording of my set from the launch night of our recent “Groundbeat” (jazz influenced) radio night.
It’s a selection of jazz-influenced hip hop sounds, old and new, with a few Blue Note classics thrown in for good luck (recorded live, bumps and all!)
