Another AFRO another rinse out? Absolutely! The Blunt residents reprazented for one of our harder-edge shows from our studio in leafy Bedfordshire.

Erbalist kicked things off at the lower end of the tempo-ometer with some bass heavy dubstep and electro. Doug picked the pace up a little bit with some nu-skool (well slightly older now – turn-of-the-century), breaks; then I rounded off with some vintage hardcore and techno.

At Blunt Beats, Urban Picnic Stage @ Rhythms Of The World festival I was having a little chat with Benji from Baron Studio Sound, he was telling me about his new podcast on the PodOmatic web site.

Oh yes, it’s noodle time once more!

Tonight’s live radio show sees plenty of downtempo, ambient, and experimental electronic sounds. (lovingly themed “Noodles“, by the crew here at HQ)

Well there were a few hurdles thrown in our path this week, but the old cliche ‘The show must go on…’ rang true, and that’s exactly what it did.

As ever, this Allsorts show covered a lot of ground with many beats, bloops and basslines getting rolled out. J stepped up first with some prime cuts of electronic, indie hip-hop and breaks. Great selection and airtight mixing!

I followed the J-man with a mix of soulful summer beats which I hope went down well with the masses, then Marcus G Hurley rounded off the night with a range of classic drum&bass.
