Well, what a show! The return of our new AFRO show was a bit of a stormer. For those that missed it, and the last AFRO, the theme of the night is to play as hard edged as possible from across the beat spectrum and just simply tear shit up! Top sets were delivered by all so, while you can download the full show for another few days, here’s a bit of reportage on the night’s proceedings.

Marcus G Hurley opened up with some heavy breaks and electro, peppered with dirty hip-hop and finished off with some hefty slabs of drum and bass. Big-ups to Marcus!

Next up was WreckUp. Our stella-fuelled, football casual, special guest returned to Blunt Beats HQ for another rinse out of the highest order. He fully represented with some tuff beats blending drum and bass and techno, with the odd homegrown tune and hip-hop cut sneaked in (loved hearing that Dead Prez joint again).

For the last set of the night the Erbalist stepped up to drop some nasty dubstep, drum and bass and breaks in his own inimitable style. Slammin tunes right up until midnight.
