All Sorted Once More

BB Allsorts

Yep, that’s right. We’re ready to go with the mixed bag o’ musical tricks that is our Allsorts radio show.

Live from 8pm tomorrow night, Blunt Residents Marcus Hurley, Doug, and Agent M will be mixing an entirely indulgent, and wide-ranging selection of tunes, for 4 hours. Nice.

As those of you in the know will undoubtedly realise, this show certainly lives up to its name, with all kinds of music getting played throughout the night. Don’t take my word for it, check out some of the tracklistings of previous Allsorts shows to see what I mean.

Bunt Beats Radio presents Allsorts, with Blunt Beats DJs Marcus Hurley, Agent M, and Doug. Live from 8pm UK time, Wednesday 15th April. www.bluntbeats.com/radio

Dear Mr Bluntbeats

I am writing to you and your disc jockey colleges with some suggestions and I am afraid three are 2 serious complaints.

Firstly I would not like to recognise that you are trying to provide a universal coverage for those poor people who cannot afford nor have the intelligence to know good art, even when they are spoon fed.

Secondly, there are some areas that could improve the show, mainly there is a distinct lack of radio jingle, I thought something like that cheek chap from 3 counties radio or even better Chris Moyles could teach you a thing or two!
Also, I would like to bring to your attention that I have not heard or seen on any play list, the true greats of the modern beat combo; where “Buck Fizz or the Bay City Rollers”, modern gods like “Take That” and the classic High School Musical crew! I could live with your ignorance if only there was some CLIFF RICHARDS…. We the Great British public know what we like and that’s strange sexual preferences and CLIFF RICHARDS.

I hope this will help, keep up the spiffing show old’ chaps…. Tally-ho.

Dear Mr. Codswallop.

Thank you for your recent submission regarding our airplay activities. I thought I’d take this opportunity to reply to some of your concers.

Firstly, regarding people who cannot/will not understand art and culture. We’re not too bothered about that. Radio 4 we ain’t….There are no scarf-wearers here (unless it’s cold), and we dont discuss high-brow art and its meaning, unless it’s been completed on an Etch-A-Sketch. We are more likely to talk about who’s turn it is to make the tea/go to get more smokes, which is far more important in our opinion. We have been known to have beards on occasion, and the odd pipe has been smoked. However, please do not hold that against us, or take it as a clear indication of our programming ideals.

Radio jingles from the like of Mr Moyles are not top of our list. I admit he could teach us a thing or two. mostly about eating pies, bless him. We do have a variety of idents and jingles that we play, and we are looking to get some more recorded in the near future. Maybe you could help us out, and consider if you have any suggestions/input/want to record some adverts and lyrics for us (bad bwoy MC!)

Regarding playlists and artists featured on ths show, I’m afriad Cliff “God Loves Me Yo!” Richard isn’t on our playlists. That said, we hare happy to support British classic British artists like The Who, Pink Floyd etc. Pensioners have got it hard these days…

Mr Richard can poke his god-fearing music where the devil won’t get at it, in all honesty.

In terms of Bucks Fizz…well, I believe that their name is the latin term for “bunch of arse”, and therefore cannot be considered at this point in our playlists. I am sorry. if you wish to listen to said “artists”, please purchase a Medium Wave radio, and tune it to some suitable station. Or, alternatively, get yourself down to Tescos or the Co-Op to buy some CDs and show your support for these people.

I hope this reply has gone some way to answering your queries. Please feel free to contact us to discuss further.

Regards.

M
