Myself and J have been busy here at Blunt HQ, trawling though our radio archives. We’re gonna be uploading some selected sessions over the coming weeks, so that you people in webland can have even more top quality music from Blunt HQ at your disposal.
This time round, we’ve pulled out a mix from the launch night of our “Groundbeat” (jazz influenced) sessions. it’s guest DJ Adam Williams at the controls, working through a diverse selection of mellowed-out beats, exclusively for blunt beats.
Well, seeing as everyone else has pulled their finger out and uploaded some music of late, I figured I’d better do the same.
What I’ve given you is a recording of my set from the launch night of our recent “Groundbeat” (jazz influenced) radio night.
It’s a selection of jazz-influenced hip hop sounds, old and new, with a few Blue Note classics thrown in for good luck (recorded live, bumps and all!)

We’ve been busying ourselves here at Blunt HQ, earning gold stars for all the ideas we come up with for musical treats for you lucky people. Admittedly, we’re lazy little buggers, so not all out ideas come to fruition.
However, our 10beat project is an exception. What we’re doing is getting 5 of the crew (or guests), to simply give us 2 tracks that they are listening to, with a little explanation as to why.
