Last nights Electric Noodles radio show a blinder, simply. We started off with an exclusive mix of General Fuzz tunes from Agent M on an ambient, spaced-out kinda tip. This was followed by a killer acid/electro mix from J. Absolutely on-point. No question. Musically, you were then left in the more-than-capable hands of Doug (AKA Birthday Boy) to bring the show to a suitably Noodle-esque close, which he managed no problem despite being another year older! Top stuff indeed.

We havent lost our minds. It just seems like a good excuse to put up a particularly poor quality, and daft picture of Doug, as its his birthday. We tried to make the pic as rubbish as possible, to appeal to his graphic designer, man-about-web, professional outlook…(note the Comic Sans typeface!)

Well there were a few hurdles thrown in our path this week, but the old cliche ‘The show must go on…’ rang true, and that’s exactly what it did.

As ever, this Allsorts show covered a lot of ground with many beats, bloops and basslines getting rolled out. J stepped up first with some prime cuts of electronic, indie hip-hop and breaks. Great selection and airtight mixing!

I followed the J-man with a mix of soulful summer beats which I hope went down well with the masses, then Marcus G Hurley rounded off the night with a range of classic drum&bass.
