Now, the lads were having such a good time, that they kept the sounds going for an additional 2 hours. Our next live radio show on the 24th October is going to be something a bit special. The night in question sees the return of our “Moonstompin” ska and rocksteady session. Wednesday nights live radio session was a bit special. The crew donned their Harringtons, pulled up their braces, and played some top quality (and very rare) ska and rocksteady sounds. Blunt residents Agent M and the Erbalist were joined by guest DJ Matty J on their trip into some antique skankin’ wax. Last night saw Blunt HQ get its lazy-eye skank on. No, we weren’t drinking Jack Daniels, we were playing top notch reggae music, and a good time was had by all. This show was the third in our now well-established and popular “Heavy Vibes” series (Even if we did get the date wrong on the flyer! Sorry!)

Agent M started off the night with a smooth mix of Trojan-Heavy rocksteady and roots, with a touch of dub, and a smattering of Studio 1 tracks. Next up was Guest DJ Oli/DJ Scrambler/Oli Twist/Oli Pizzle (we do come up with some daft names here at Blunt HQ)

It’s fair to say last nights show was a stormer from the word go. Quality ska, rocksteady, dub, and roots sounds from right across the years. It was geat fun, and a pleasure for me personally, to dig out some old tracks that I haven’t aired in a while. I know the Erbalist did the same! Our special thanks also go out to Dread-i from Liberation Collective for a spot-on roots selection as our guest DJ.

Big ups as well to both the Dogg-G and the Bushdoctor, who were on a visit to Blunt HQ. Our thanks also go out to all the local crew at Ascenzion Dub Syndicate, and Solution Sounds, for their continued support on the reggae vibe. Our appreciation also goes out to our international listening base (those we know, and those we don’t!) right around the world. Bangkok to Berlin, Budapest to Barcelona, Birmingham to Brooklyn, and everywhere inbetween. Thank you. We’re glad you like the music. We’ll keep it coming.

We’re gonna be pullin’ something special out of the bag this week. Literally. This Wednesdays radio show sees the second part in our “Heavy Vibes” reggae series. 4 hours of quality iree sounds, courtesy of Agent M and the Erbalist. But that’s not all. Oh no. The family Blunt have arranged a little treat for you luck people in webland.

We’ve arranged for Dj Dread-i from the Liberation Collective to come and play and exclusive set for us too. So, needless to say, this one’s gonna be a quality session. Expect to hear loads of dub and roots music from across the years, with lashings of rocksteady and ska, and maybe a hint of dancehall thrown in the mix. Quality stuff with which to fight the forces of babylon!
