So. There you have it. Yet another excuse to pour a large drink, sit in the sunshine, and enjoy the vibe from this belter of a festival.

As our heads are still a little fuzzy, in après-festival mode, we’ve decided to take things a little easy on this weeks live radio show. Also, it’s a little “Brucie Bonus” for you people in webland (as we’re nice).

From 8pm tonight, we’ll be playing some live recordings from our recent outing with our Urban Picnic Sounds project at the Rhythms Of The World festival. It’s that time of the year once more….The full Blunt Beats family will be out in force, providing that summertime vibe with our Urban Picnic Sounds project at the Rhythms Of The World festival on the 4th and 5th July in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

2 days. 170+ acts from all over the world. 20,000 people….and the Blunt Crew providing the perfect chilled backdrop with our sunshine sountrack to the assembled masses. Those of you in the know will be aware of just what a belter this festival is, and the fact that we have an absolute ball with some quality music, and top-notch guests playing on our Blunted stage.

We’ll be releasing more details about exactly whats happening here on the site over the next couple of weeks, but we’re gonna use tonights live radio as a bit of a warm-up, just to get you in the mood for what to expect. Music tonight will be provided by Agent M along with an archived recording on one of Doug’s sets from the Sunday at least years festival. We’ve also got a fresh-as-boxfresh-Air-Jordans exclusive mix from Urban Picnic Sounds regular DJ Prolifik a.k.a AB0181 and his boy S-Type. We’ve got a bit of a treat lined up for you lucky weblanders in this weeks Heavy Vibes radio show. We’ve taken a look through our dusty archive recordings, to bring you some of the guest sets and other bits and pieces that have featured in the Heavy Vibes series so far. Heavyweight roots, culture, dub and rocksteady business for sure.

So, to make life a little less hectic, and to allow you good people a further audio-esque peep into our archives, we’re going to be playing some more sets from our recent Urban Picnic Sounds outing at the Rhythms Of The World festival, on tonights radio show.

This years Urban Picnic Sounds @ Rhythms Of The World Festival has just past by very rapidly indeed and a great time was had by all. Thanks to everyone old and new that turned up to make it one of the best yet.

Great soundsystem, great tunes and 10,000 people wandering around the site on each day! Nice. More on that from the rest of the crew shortly….

Back for our 6th year at the Rhythms Of The World festival, the Blunted contingent will be holding down their very own stage, as per usual, for the whole duration.

Those of you in the know will know just how good this festival is, so I’m not gonna bang on about it. There are over 150 acts, performing over 2 days, in 14 acres of landscaped woodland, for next to nothing.

For those of you who have been living under a stone, Urban Picnic Sounds is where the family Blunt take it upon themselves to invite some friends, and create one of the most top-notch sunshine soundtracks you can imagine, as a backdrop to the entire festival. We have a blast. And we must be doing something right. This is our 6th year there, so we kind of figure you lot out there love it too!

Guests this year include Herb (Solution Sounds), Matty J, Baron Studio Sound, and Adam Williams.

As most of you know, things don’t always run too smoothly in life and the last week in BluntWorld™ has been no exception. The search for a new Blunt HQ continues, as does the headache that comes with trying to find a vaguely decent place to live!

On top of all this, our very own Agent M has landed himself in a spot of hospital related drama, currently residing in our local krankenhaus sporting some lovely DVT stockings and some delightful plaster-on-limb action….

I know I’m labouring the point now, but, we’re in the middle of moving studio here at Blunt Beats, and our very busy chasing our tails, filling in forms, and spending money. Ouch.
