Well, it had to happen sometime. Lots of you have been hassling us to put up copies of our radio flyers for public viewing for absolutely ages. For those of you that aren’t sure what we’re talking about here, its quite simple. Every week we post a flyer/ad for our Wednesday night live radio show, and we started to make these as tongue-in-cheek (i.e. stupid) as possible.

Nobody and nothing is safe. From fat people, to midgets, to smoking children, national monuments, and fried chicken…we’ve used them all as backdrops for our promotions.

As we said, this is all tongue-in-cheek, and just done for a bit of a giggle (if you’re offended by any of them, please feel free to bugger off to a lentil-eating hippy commune somewhere, and leave the rest of us alone to swear and burp and make fun of stuff!!)

Anyway, thanks to some head scratching and button pushing, you can now take a look at our flyer gallery. Funnily enough, its on the gallery page….

Long-Time Blunt cohort MC Sirota has been busy working on plenty of new material. Check it out at his myspace site. He’s been busy working with a number of respected producers, as well as working on his own creations. Conscious lyrics with on-point, distinctive delivery. Good stuff.

Sirota works across a number of music genres including hip hop, garage, and r n’b. One of the tracks he’s just finished putting together is something that gives props to all the extended family and crews. It’s called “rolling it out” and you can listen to it here (and, you might even notice and impromtu Agent M appearance on the track if you listen hard enough!)

Keep your eye out for Sirota - should be a busy year. Keep it up! (and expect to see a live appearance from the man himself at our Audio Vault Project gig series over the coming months)

The harmony of Blunt HQ has been somewhat disrupted. We’re currently fighting a war with technology and cables, which we will win. Of that there is no doubt. Some of you may have noticed that a few of the mixes on our website (and our radio loop) appear to be glitching, meaning that you guys out there aren’t getting your Blunted audio quite as you should. You’re probably thinking it’s the record jumping, or your internet connection being a bit wonky. It’s neither of these.

Put simply, our studio recording software has gone tits up, and therefore some of the mixes sound like there’s bits missing out of them (which there are). We’re looking to sort this out as soon as we can, and our white-coated technical bods will be doing their stuff to fix it over the next couple of days. When they do, we’ll re-record the dodgy mixes in question. Because we’re nice like that.

So bear with us. We know the mixes are as fat as Vanessa Feltz in her glory days, but some of them sound like they are recorded on a Commodore Vic20. We’ll be sorting it out as soon as we can.

Moving to a new website is like moving house. You can move everything from one location to another, but there always seems to be bits and pieces that take longer to unpack and just lie around in boxes.

Well that’s been the case with our gallery until now. Finally we’ve found the time to start sifting through the old pics and pull them all together into a flashy new gallery.

The Blunt service will continue as normal, but this incarnation will be much more feature packed than ever.

It’s like we’ve got amnesia. There’s nothing about our past. It’s as if we were born last month…rest assured, we weren’t. (We’re 4!!)

Our info page will tell you all about who we are, and what we do… Anyway, I’m rambling off point here….Though we’ve relaunched and updated the website, we’re having some technical difficulties with some of our data archives.

We’re working on it….and we’ll keep you posted on the data recovery!!
