Just a quick heads up to remind y’all of our newest collaboration project with the Heinously Envious Crew – the Over The Top Xmas Special at The Edge, Park St. Luton, on 23rd December.
Our regular readers, and those in the Luton area, are likely to know about this already - but for those that haven’t here’s the lowdown…
Running from 9pm to 4am on Saturday 23rd Dec there’s two rooms open and you’ll find top class tunage in each one.
Room 1 – Over The Top
The main room is all set for a HEP showcase with many special guests. The idea behind Over The Top is to create a night of live electronic music and touches on a number of hard-edge styles such as breakcore, drum&bass, techno, IDM, gabba or electro. The line-up looks like this:
- Gibbo vs Bert Bangatrak (Wrong Music)
- Chronic Redeye (Live beatboxing vs MC)
- S.W.A.N.K. (Acid Skiffle)
- Seizmic (Kacchina/HEP)
- Wreck-Up (Kacchina/HEP/Monolith)
- BeeBeeDee (Kacchina/HEP)
- 8orn7rue (HEP)
- Phase (Ascenzion Sounds)
- Debonaire (Live turntablism)
- TechDiff (Armoured Core)
- Dark Democracy
Operata M is also down to provide live visuals on the night.
Room 2 – Blunt Beats
The second room is hosted by your favourite Blunt maestros plus special guests. Expect a harder, more grimy affair from us as we hit a tone that compliments, and provides a fitting alternative to, the looner tunes from the OTT guys.
The Blunt Beats residents will be front & centre and will be joined by the one-and-only Swainy Roots Souljah (Solution Sounds), Rob (DNA Crew) and the bearded-beserker himself, Brundlegoat (Kacchina).
So if you’re looking for an xmas blow-out to start off your holidays this is for you. £3 entry before 11pm and £5 after and no dress-code. Sweet
