Oh dear. I’d better start by way of both an apology and explanation. You may have noticed the gremlins were in the system on Wednesday nights live show. Firstly, our grave apologies. Believe me, it was a bit of a mission to get any kind of show at all.

Now, Wednesday’s show was to be streamed live from another venue (a bar). Everything had been tested (stream capabilities, setup etc etc. But on the night, it wasn’t to be. After a rather buzzy start due to some earthing issues, the crew finally got going. Only to find out, 2 tunes in, that there was misunderstanding over the payment involved. Thats was the cue for the Blunt family to shut up shop, load up the MPV, and get back to the studio at Blunt Towers as soon as possible.

Being the cautious individual I am, I had decided to stay at HQ “Just in case anything goes wrong” - Glad I did. After a couple of phone calls to let me know what was going on, myself and J went and got the laptop, and another mixer, and got the show on the road…By hook and by crook, we got started properly around 9pm, with a crackly mixer, and a microphone that I think cost less than my cigarettes. Still, we got there. Just.

Once the tunes got going, all was well….for a while…we seemed to the have some kind of localised intermittent internet problem (think it was something in this area), that saw the stream cutting out, but we soldiered on…It’s fair to say it really was one of those nights

On the plus side of things, it’s all recorded as per usual, and its available via our radio page.  it’ll be up there until Thursday.  To summarise, the tune are good, but both the mixng and the mic are both a bit “off-key”, shall we say, in places.

I haven’t tracklisted the show this week, as everything kind of got out of kilter. Shit happens. Rest assured normal service will be resumed on Wednesday. (and we’ll more that make up for last weeks shortcomings!)
