Dirty Bass Live at Club TED 3

DirtyBass

Last weekend the Erbalist and I took a trip down south to Luton-on-Sea (Brighton) to check out the latest CLUB T.E.D. offering at The Volks Club. If you haven’t heard of it or been down there yet, it’s basically a showcase of live performances by artists involved with Level 1. Top quality homegrown tunes are the order of the day here.

Was a great night, and to cut a long story short - everyone involved smashed it. Top quality sets by Seizmic, Wreck Up, BeeBeeDee and a debut PA by L1 head-honcho TribalEditor were enjoyed by all and made the trip down well worthwhile.

That said, my personal highlight of the evening came with the arrival of Dirty Bass dropping an amazingly deep progressive set to close the night. Starting off with Hawtin-esque minimalism and slowly progressing into a old-school flavoured, deep techno vibe. This set was top notch to say the least. The production of the tunes, in particular the low end, is astounding with massive attention to detail. Great stuff.

You can check out a recording of the Dirty Bass set here - comes highly recommended!

Probably best enjoyed with the aid of 2 x 18″ subwoofers and a slippery, beer covered floor. Sweaty, gurning crowd members optional….

Check out the Level-1 forum for recordings , pictures and videos of all the other artists on the night. Top quality I’m sure you’ll agree.

Big thanks to all concerned for a top night :)

A good little review, my man…

Didn’t make this event this time around, but have been before, and the acts on the night smash it, for sure…

Big up the Level 1 crew! :)
