It’s been a pretty good year for some quality festival action. Agent M and myself enjoyed an absolutely shocking Bangface Weekender in April, the Blunt crew pulled off another superb Urban Picnic Sounds and more great times were had at the Glade in July.

…and it’s not over yet!

This weekend sees the return of the East End Valley Festival in Harlington. Dubbed ‘Bedfordshire’s best kept secret’, the festival is playing host to a number of local bands and DJ’s, spread over 3 stages and boasting some serious sound and lighting business by all accounts!

Blunt veteran the Erbalist will be spinning tunes on the main stage between acts throughout the day. This promises to be a quality weekend, so anyone local - get down there!

Also this weekend for those of you on the south coast, the ‘UK’s newest and most laid-back’ festival…. Beachdown. Spread over 4 days and held at the lovely Devils Dyke in Brighton, this looks sure to be a winner. Some seriously high quality acts are lined up including Bonobo, Phil Hartnoll, De La Soul and Mr. Scruff to name but a few.. Nice.

I’ll be down there on the Saturday, filling in on the ol’ Bass for the wonderful iambic² project on the Brighton bands stage. If you haven’t heard of these guys before, they are well worth hearing…. Those of you into your ambient / chillout / breakbeat kinda stuff - check it out
