Podcast - Gilles Peterson in Brasil

Gilles Peterson in Brazil For those out there interested in latin music there’s a podcast well worth checking out.
In the six-part series sponsored by Brahma (beer from Brasil), Radio1’s Gilles Peterson reports from Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo on the past, present and future of Brasilian music.

Each episode is crammed full of the best in Baile Funk, Samba and Bossa Nova, and a good history lesson in Brasilian music is provided by the interviews with the pioneers of each style.
What are you still doing here?! Go grab that free audio goodness…

If you’re new to this whole podcast thing check out my earlier post for a rundown.

[…] ps - If you’re wondering what Baile Funk is all about Gilles Petersen did an interesting intro podcast in a series I blogged about last year.  It’s a great history of the sound and its culture and well worth grabbing while you can. by Doug | Thursday March 29, 2007 | Posted in podcast, reviews, graphics, funk, hip hop, latin Trackback URL | Comment RSS Feed | Tag at del.icio.us | Incoming links […]
