Well, it did exactly what it said on the tin. - Dub, Funk, Hip Hop and Ska from the Blunt Beats family and Solution Sounds!
Firstly, a big shout to everyone that made it down for this little shindig, including Kazza and all the out of town party crew
Now, on to the review…
Herb started proceedings at 8, with a mix of roots and dub vibes, which sounded just as it should (loud!) on the 5k rig provided by Solution Sounds. Next, it was time for the family Blunt to step up - Marcus G Hurley then DJ Hughes warmed things up with a mix of big funk, breaks and hip hop beats. Agent M and Doug then turned things up a notch with a back-to-back hip-hop and funk set, mixing UK styles with block party anthems.
At midnight, the mayhem started! - Solution Sounds honcho Swainy Root Souljah, and Blunt Beats own ‘Erbalist tore down the dancehall with the reggae vibes! - Nice work gentlemen!
Needless to say, we partied until the lights come on…and then continued to so until sunrise back at Blunt HQ…All I’ll say is Kazza’s ability to park a car is astounding, and the ‘Erbalist doesn’t like drinking bong water!
Anyway, in short, this little session was heavyweight, and a good time was had by all. (This was probably assisted by the availability of Red Stripe lager on the premisis!) - Top stuff.
Big ups to everyone that come along for the party, and all our friends over at Solution Sounds…We’ll keep you posted on the next one.
