Well that’s it for another year. Urban Picnic Sounds seems to have flown by and is over once more. What a weekend, eh?

For the 4th year running Blunt Beats presents Urban Picnic Sounds at Rythms Of The World festival in Hitchin Herts on the 15th and 16th July. Two great days were enjoyed by all, the sun shone and the vibe was spot on.

For us this was the best ever UPS we’ve ever held. The sound was top-notch and each of the DJs responded with the better sets than have ever been heard at UPS.

First of all the Blunt Beats Family would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved: our guests, Dr Gonzo & Prolifik – super-groovy sets from both you guys, Afghan John, Matty J and Meggy (for the stage set-up and making things run smoothly), Bob, Paul and all at ROTW-HQ, Ross and the sound guys at Rossco (great sound by the way fellas), Roose (respect); all the film crew: Paul, Mark, Luke, Sharkey P & Lantos.

And last, but not least, all of the picnic massive – the people who turned up. Yes, you the public. You made our weekend & once again. Thanks! We had a wicked weekend. The best yet - see you next year!

Also in the pipeline is a documentary of UPS 2006 filmed over the course of the festival. That will be a few months in the making but watch out for video clips of the weekend up that will be posted up here in the near future.
