Urban Picnic Sounds 2008

UPS

It’s here once more. All the Blunt Beats Djs plus special guest for two days in the (hopefully) sunshine with our Urban Picnic Sounds project.

Back for our 6th year at the Rhythms Of The World festival, the Blunted contingent will be holding down their very own stage, as per usual, for the whole duration.

Those of you in the know will know just how good this festival is, so I’m not gonna bang on about it. There are over 150 acts, performing over 2 days, in 14 acres of landscaped woodland, for next to nothing.

For those of you who have been living under a stone, Urban Picnic Sounds is where the family Blunt take it upon themselves to invite some friends, and create one of the most top-notch sunshine soundtracks you can imagine, as a backdrop to the entire festival. We have a blast. And we must be doing something right. This is our 6th year there, so we kind of figure you lot out there love it too!

Guests this year include Herb (Solution Sounds), Matty J, Baron Studio Sound, and Adam Williams.

Blunt Beats presents Urban Picnic Sounds 2008 at the Rhythms Of The World festival, 12 and 13th July. Tickets and info are available through Rhythms Of The World. If you are anywhere near the South of England (or even further afield) this weekend, we strongly recommend you get to this.

Top weekend of music, never had a bad time there, great atmosphere, good people and the only DJ stage in the whole festival… Urban Picnic Sounds will save the day … rain or shine.

Can’t wait

Yup it was a top weekend. The weather on Sunday made it a cracker of a day! Thanks to all our guests, and of course those who came down to enjoy UPS.

It was also great to meet you folks finally, so cheers for making it down.

The recordings will be posted soon, along with some pics and vids.

What a crackin weekend. The weather just about held out with only the odd shower on saturday but the music more than made up for it by all the dj’s that played.
A massive thanks to all our guest dj’s over the weekend which added to the bluntbeats experience and most of all a huge shout out to all that came to support us and rotw over the 2 days and doing their bit for the charity.
